GITEX GLOBAL: History and Importance of the Event
GITEX GLOBAL (Gulf Information Technology Exhibition) is one of the largest tech events in the world. Since its first edition in 1981, GITEX has been bringing together tech industry leaders, startups, and investors in Dubai every year. The event is organized by the Dubai World Trade Centre, and its reach and prestige continue to grow.
In 2024, during the 44th edition, GITEX GLOBAL Largest Tech & Startup Show in the World attracted over 6,500 exhibitors, 1,800 startups and participants from more than 180 countries. As a result, this event has become the largest and most influential gathering of tech leaders worldwide.
The success of GITEX GLOBAL has led to the creation of regional versions of the event – in 2023, the first edition of GITEX Africa, was held, and in 2025, GITEX Asia will debut in Singapore, and Gitex Europe will premiere in Berlin.
